MERIT INTERNATIONAL’S ADRIATIC DREAM

Merit International, the largest investor in Northern Cyprus with its 33 years of experience in the tourism industry, entered the Balkan market five years ago and is now building its second hotel here. Merit Starlit, which is under construction in Montenegro, is preparing to welcome its guests in May 2022.

Merit International, which has been operating two casinos in Montenegro and one in Croatia since its Balkan investments began in 2016, brought the concept of “hotel & casino” in Cyprus to Bulgaria for the first time in 2018 and opened Merit Grand Mosta Hotel&Casino. Merit International aims to advance its flawless service concept, which is the peak of its 33-year business in Northern Cyprus and Europe, with Merit Starlit Hotel & Residence. With its 44 hotel rooms, 49 residences, and a casino, Merit Starlit is getting ready to be the new star of Budva. Merit International, which has earned the love and loyalty of its guests with its Turkish hospitality, reliability, unmatched customer service, and magnificent events, turns Starlit into a great opportunity for its investors.

Why Montenegro?

Surely it is no coincidence that Merit International, which has been operating in the Balkans for five years, chose Montenegro for this special project. Montenegro, which has a fjord view similar to Norway, is the center of attraction of the Balkans with its national parks and 117 beaches, almost all of which are “Blue Flag”, adorning its 293-kilometer-long coastline. Fresh air, lush forests, abundant sunshine, protracted beaches, clear lakes, snow-capped mountains, ancient cities as witnesses of history, and many other beauties are gathered in this small and pretty country with a surface area of 13,800 square kilometers and a population of 650 thousand people.  Blending the best shades of blue and green during the day, Montenegro attracts millions of tourists every year with its colorful nightlife too.  Avid travelers favor this country also because there are no visa requirements for visits up to 90 days. Flights to Montenegro from several European countries and from Russia usually take less than three hours, and about an hour and 15 minutes from Turkey. Merit Starlit is close to both airports of the country; it is 20 minutes from Tivat Airport and 45 minutes from Podgorica Airport.
